Jeffrey Pfeffer
Jeffrey Pfeffer is the Thomas D. Dee II Professor of Organizational Behavior at the Graduate School of Business, Stanford University. Pfeffer received his Ph.D. from Stanford University and has taught at the business schools at the University of Illinois and the University of California, Berkeley, as well as being a visiting professor at Harvard Business School and IESE. He has written 15 books on topics including the knowing-doing gap, evidence based management, achieving competitive advantage through people, power in organizations, and the connections between workplace practices and human health and sustainability. He has also published more than 150 articles and book chapters. Pfeffer’s recent research focuses on the relationship between work environments and employee health outcomes. Pfeffer received numerous awards for his books and articles, including an honorary doctorate from Tilburg University in The Netherlands.
