California Consumer Privacy Act [CCPA]

Since 2018 a privacy law that gives consumers in California certain rights and protections regarding their personal information[1] and imposes obligations on businesses in terms of data[2] collection, usage, and disclosure.

Defined Terms
1. information.

The by-product of having data in an HR System. Data is gathered and reviewed providing information for decision making.

2. data.

Numbers, characters, or images in a form which can be assessed by a human or (especially) input into a computer, stored and processed.
