Manager Self-Service [MSS]

A secure Web-based system that provides managers with a single access point to the data[2] and information[1] they need to make decisions quickly and effectively. Promotions, job requisitions, employee leave requests and salary changes are all examples of the types of tasks that can be done via MSS.

Defined Terms
1. information.

The by-product of having data in an HR System. Data is gathered and reviewed providing information for decision making.

2. data.

Numbers, characters, or images in a form which can be assessed by a human or (especially) input into a computer, stored and processed.
