A cryptographic[1] system that uses a pair of keys (public and private) to enable secure encryption[2], decryption, and digital signatures.

Relating to the use of cryptographic techniques, such as encryption and decryption, to secure data and transactions. Cryptographic hashes Unique digital representations of data generated using cryptographic algorithms, commonly used for data integrity verification and security.

2. encryption.

The process of using an algorithm to transform information to make it unreadable for unauthorized users. The process of converting plaintext into ciphertext using cryptographic algorithms to protect data confidentiality and integrity.
