Stress Testing - IHRIMedia

A method^[1] of testing^[2] that emphasizes availability and error handling under extremely heavy data^[3] processing loads to ensure software does not crash due to insufficient resources.

Defined Terms

1. ↑ method.

A description of what happens, or is carried out, by an object in response to a message. It is also referred to as an operation or service.

2. ↑ testing.

The processes around making sure that changes to systems are implemented correctly. This includes running programs, entering data and viewing system results.

3. ↑ data.

Numbers, characters, or images in a form which can be assessed by a human or (especially) input into a computer, stored and processed.
