System Testing

The test that is conducted to make sure that each program works within the context of the system configuration[1] and a test set of data[2].

Defined Terms
1. configuration.

The means of setting up an application using administrative tools that are delivered from the vendor without changing the actual software code. The stage of the implementation process when the physical deployment of an item is scrutinized to ensure it complies with system specifications.

2. data.

Numbers, characters, or images in a form which can be assessed by a human or (especially) input into a computer, stored and processed.
